Orphée
Performances for Orphée were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were fortunate to perform one public presentation, for a small group of audience members, the night before the Los Angeles shutdown, a decision made so that our company could share their work with close family and friends while upholding the city’s guidelines on gatherings at the time.

The classic myth. Reimagined.
Orpheus, Eurydice, and a trouble-making horse converge in this whimsical and irreverent reimagining of the famed Greek myth by surrealist poet, Jean Cocteau. In our signature style, weaving together ASL and Spoken English, Deaf West will breathe new life into this funny, magical, and highly visual play.
